Pattaya is formally a fishing village, it was the first holiday beach nearest to Bangkok. Pattaya city turned itself from an ordinary fishing village into a world famous holiday beach resort of Asia and the world.

Since 1960s during the war of Vietnam, at the rest time of American forces, need to search for a place for relaxation and recreation. These forces discovered Pattaya Bay which is some 20kms from Utapao Airport. From Fishing villages then developed itself in to Pattaya city.

The newest airport ( Suwannaphoom Int Airport) will open soon at the end of year 2005 Ekamai ( Eastern Bus Terminal) bus station will have Bus heading to Pattaya city every 30 minutes If you want to experience on Railway journey you can catch up the Train at Hualamphong the main Train Station at Bangkok, there use to be only two trips per day. Pattaya is Famous on beach many tourists enjoy sunlight at Pattaya beach but more heading over to Jomtien beach which water more clean with white sand. Many funs staff such as Banana boats riding, Parasailing, Scooter, diving and many more and more. You can also enjoy exciting attraction in Pattaya such as Elephant village or Sanctuary of truth etc. Other Attractions around Pattaya is Country famous place.
